Typical growth, nothing exceptional. It was a gift from a friend. We always have lower bud counts than reported on sites.

I have had AWESOME CANDY for five years and I think it does not like the subtropics and the heat. Last year I moved it (my magical solution to the problem of struggling cultivars) but it performed worse. Sadly, it is also susceptible to rust. However, when all is going well with it, the blooms together are trim and fetching and limn against the green foliage.

Here, it flowers usually in the second month of spring but in two of the years it was two months early or late. It is both pollen and pod fertile and reblooms.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

I have to say, Awesome Candy is now one of my favorites in the garden. It holds it's shape all day and is rock solid. AC, was really one of the first fancy daylilies I purchased last fall (2016). I got some nice fans of it and it has steadily bloomed for the past 2 months (though intermittently) though it is not mature enough in my garden to be an actual clump. I have been very impressed by it's performance in my zone 6A garden.
