I understand that pressure treated wood no longer has arsenic in it as a preservative , so is it o.k. to use now for raised beds for vegetables ??

Jim, I'd still want to know exactly what they ARE using to pressure-treat the wood before taking a chance on growing veggies near it.

Just my opinion from what I have read, but I think you take in more toxins every day from just breathing than you could ingest from growing with pressure treated wood.

I came up with i think is a
GREAT IDEAL!!! Im building my sister an elevated raised bed.
I'm gonna have slats on bottom.
I allready bought 4 big plastic tubs at target deep enough for roots.
They will go side by each.into bed.
I'll drill drain holes between slats.
NO ROT !!!!###
Square plastic tubs cost 8 bucks apeice. Heavy 6mil plastic cost about that much. And it rots !
