I see that the Plant Database no longer lists the members that "HAVE" or "WANT" a certain plant variety.

That makes me sad, I thought it was a great feature and when I saw a question not being answered, sometimes I would "@" a few people who "HAD" the plant, to see if they would care to answer.

But admittedly, the feature seemed underused. No one has ever contacted me for seeds that I listed as "HAVE" and "offered for trade". And I haven't kept my list of "available" seeds up-to-date at all times.

Is there still a way to search the database (or rather everyone's Plant Lists) globally, to see who HAS a certain variety and might offer it for trade?

Hmm, if it's not there that wasn't intentional. I'll look into this.

I agree it's a great feature, but when I search a plant, Rick, it's all still there. Try again.

@RickCorey I still have the feature on my plant list, both on my phone and on my desktop. Not sure why you aren't getting it. The other day I had to shut down my computer and completely log in again because I wasn't getting my home page I had saved. Try a reboot.
This is the way I keep track of what I have. Not so much to share yet since most is fairly new, but I always look to see before I buy something if someone else shows having it and a couple of times I t-mail them to see if I still want it. Have a Merry Christmas!

Rick, maybe you're just looking at plants that no one has or wants? (Hard to imagine, but it could happen) Smiling

Strange, I see want, have, and used to have on my plant list, legalily's, and plantmanager's. But the only thing I see on Rick's is "have".

That turned out to be it. I had never seen a plant like that before, but yes. "Mikado Poppy" isn't listed by anyone as "HAVE" or "WANT", and THAT'S why there was no list of them in the Plant Database.

Sorry I didn't think to check multiple plants before starting a bug report!

That was the first one where I noticed the lack. I guess I never marked it as "HAVE" in my list because I never had any extra seeds.

Vickie, I didn't list any "WANTS" in my plant list because I mainly grow from seed, and participating in seed swaps means that I have more seeds than I can plant.

Most of my new "WANTS" come from seeing something in a seed swap and deciding that I HAVE TO grow that someday.

I love that feature also, mostly because it normally gives the location where plants are being grown.

I use the 'want' feature in a slightly different way. I look at my sister's plant list and anything she has that I want, I mark as a 'want.' She can then just go to my list, limit it to 'wants' and get a list of plants I'd like her to chunk out for me. Works well. Glad it is still working properly.
