Thread OP

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could help me identify these insects....looked all over calendar but no mention of any names.

I know some of them...luna moth, bumblebee (species?) and praying mantis (species?) but am unsure of others

Thank-you!

January is a Black Swallowtail caterpillar. That green caterpillar is hard to tell. Looks like a looper of some kind. You got the Luna Moth. I'm going to post a link to your thread in the bee thread. Those folks know everything.

Thank-you so much Melanie! I never understand why a company would put out a calendar of insects and not give you at least the common names....anyway I gave this to my daughter for Xmas and she's been going through her insect books but not really getting anywhere so your help is much appreciated! I shall check out the bee thread!
