I have some artwork I would like to share, but I need to watermark it. Any suggestions? What has been your experience? If it was a picture of an iris and I was uploading it to "our" database, I would use the in house version (I vaguely remember such a thing). Thanks😊

After trial an error, I found the easiest way to make it safe was to dramatically reduce the size and let garden.org apply a watermark.

There was a discussion about watermarks in the photography forum including some of the various techniques used and suitable (free) software: The thread "Watermarks!" in Photography Tips & Techniques forum . Could be worth a look if you haven't already read it .

Do you have access to an Adobe Photoshop program? If you do, you can add a watermark using it. Not too difficult to do.
