I received Born in California in September from Bill Maryott as a special gift.
It is semi-evergreen in my garden this winter, but it did not bloom in the fall. I can't wait to see blooms this spring.

My 'Born in California' came from Maryott last summer. It bloomed like a champion this summer but only gave me 2 blooms. It's a bit early here to tell if it will survive the winter as we've had only one hard freeze and one snow.

We received Born In California from Maryott Daylilies this past September. It was a new introduction. It will be this year before we see our first blooms. I am looking forward to seeing blooms and hope it will be a good grower here in zone 7.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner, Pat! Yes, it was absolutely as beautiful as pictured. It is a real stunner...none as brilliant as this one!

Thank you my dear. I still have mine in the pot from last fall. I plan to plant it in the front of a bed because the stats list it at 25 inches. I hope I get blooms this spring.
