Hi there,

I bought some plants, and would like to know their name. So I can find out more about how to treat them properly.

The one with the pink flower, I have actually found on a sandy soil, and took it home. Would be also interesting to know the name of the plant inbetween the two plants with the pink flowers on the second photo.

The one behind the Adenium has been purchased recently, looks not very spectacular, and also didnt have any flower yet.

The third one, a kind of palm tree, grows super fast!

#2 Vinca (Catharanthus roseus)

#3 looks very familiar but I can't think of the name right now, I'm sure someone will recognize it right away and offer an ID.

#4, the two on either end appear to be the Catharanthus roseus and the center plant is Aglaonema, I'm not sure which one but we have many listed in our database with photos for comparison: https://garden.org/plants/sear... There are many new ones on the market now with pretty pink and red variegated leaves.

I attach another more clear photo of the first plant, which I believe is not a codiaeum variegatum.

Pic #1 looks like a false Aralia (AKA Dizygotheca/Schefflera/Plerandra elegantissima,) not totally sure at all.
#3 looks like Cordyline fruticosa (Ti plant.)

yes, Cordyline fruticosa, I think you are perfectly right.
just reading: ....Belongs to the family of aspargus...interesting. I wouldnt eat it though ;-)

False Aralia, yes, could be. Seems to be quite exotic.

Agree with the above ID, excepting the one that looks like false aralia, I think that is Evodia suaveolens, the mosquito repellent plant from Indonesia, they can have simple leaves, or tree leaflets. Greener under shade, and bright yellow under full sun. The distinctive is being strongly pungent, try crush one leaf and that will confirm ID (tell us how the odor please). if it's not smell, than that's not Evodia, but something else.
In-case you miss, there is also Caladium (bicolor), under adenium.

tofitropic, I just crushed one leave, and indeed it smells quite strong....kind of bitter, but not bad!
it would be awesome if it was the Evodia suaveolens, I dont like mosquitos!!

Does the 1st plant have succulent leaves? If so, I may have a suggestion, if I can remember the plant name.

@ Deebie, the 1st one has normal leaves, and it is indeed the "Evodia suaveolens"

The Ti plant, <i>Cordyline fruticosa<i>, looks like a dwarf.
