I just got this daylily last year, and it was from a source other than Judy Davisson, since she was sold out. I have to say it is a hardy thing .... it arrived with no foliage and sparse roots, but wow did it start growing fast and put out several fans. I really wasn't concerned when I saw it because I knew the source was dependable, but I didn't expect the kind of growth that it produced.

I took the photo below in Judy's garden, it puts on a spectacular show. Highly recommended.

A fabulous daylily, and a fabulous parent! I am a watermark lover (shock) and this one is perfect!

Interesting enough, when I crossed it with VICTORIA JOSEPHINE, I expected watermarks galore, but got this seedling instead. I checked the plant marker twice...lol. Maybe the watermark is so big it covered the entire face...lol. Makes me want to use ABBY all the more!

This is another of Judy's beautiful daylilies. I agree with Kathy that it is hardy and vigorous. It has an unusual quirk of needing to settle in for a season or two before showing its true colors. Mine looked washed out for first two seasons and then suddenly morphed into the gorgeous flower you see in the photos above.

Added this one to my garden I think it was last year, so it sounds like it will need some time to settle in to my growing conditions. Looking forward to it putting on a show in my garden. Lovey dubby

I planted AD in May of 2022. I got no flowers this summer and in October, it was at 3 fans.

Somehow I have missed giving a report on Abby Davisson. Very hardy, and I get bud count in the range of the hybridizer. I don't think I have ever had rebloom on it though, I wish I did. With bud count usually above 20 though, I don't complain too much.

2023 update…Abby Davisson bloomed from June 26- July 15 with at least 8 blooms. She doubled in size to end the season with 6 fans. I'm excited for next year!
