Mary Jane Meadows passed away in December. I have been trying to get a hold of her regarding the daylily I purchased from her on the DA and she has not responded for about a month now, so I decided to check the obits. I am not sure what is happening with her gardens and if anyone will be taking over for her, but I am guessing not since her daughter died and it sounds like she was alone. So, just wanted to let people know if you ordered plants from her this fall/winter and have not received them yet or heard from her. She did not cash my check, as she did require payments by check or money order - no pay pal unfortunately.
Have a Happy Daylily Day!!

That's sad, Lynnette. I'm going to put in a request to move this thread to the daylily forum in case people there don't check this one.

Thanks - this is my first one and I thought I did it correctly. How do you start a thread on the forum?

To start a thread in the Daylily Forum you can follow the link below. But I did submit a request to transfer this thread to there, so once that request is processed you'll find it there, you don't need to do anything further:

Just googled her name and found this -

I was on her web site awhile back and saw lots of plants I wanted. Read about her daughter Teresa. So sad.

Sounds like Mary Jane Meadows was a great lady.
I are sooooo smart!

Has anyone heard anything further?

I have actually driven to Tennessee (from Indiana) and stayed with her twice, as trying to be-friend her shortly after the loss of her daughter Teresa.

The website for Westbourne Daylilies is still up (I was for a short while the webmaster for her in trying to help way back then), but could no longer do it and then we had not had contact for a couple years (I can't keep track of time sometimes). [The new webmaster of course changed the site because I really didn't know what I was doing and only write simple html.]

I hate to click on the link to the website, because one time in past she had a virus infestation. I had saved all her web files on a memory stick (flash drive) and so I copied and pasted those files to a flash drive she sent me and mailed it back to her.

It would be interesting to talk to Wes her brother, who really loves daylilies too.

But now, I'm just kinda being nosy; I wonder what happened with it all and if there really is anyone running the website or if it's still just sitting there with advance payment to the web host ?
. . . it's always better to ask questions, than jump to conclusions.
AND . . . always hear both sides of the story before making a judgment.
