Hi! It is encouraging to see you guys in the middle of garden prep, and enjoying warm weather. I am living through you up here in Minne'snow'ta. Today I am seeding lettuce and onions with the kids to plant out in April.

Perhaps someday we'll move south. I like the respite of winter, but 5 months is too long! It does give me time to read some good gardening. Oops. Right now I am enjoying "The Tao of Vegetable Gardening". By Carol Deppe.

Drastically cutting down on my seed order and trying to use the leftover seed I have. It's so hard to resist though! I only spent $22 this year. The $25 gift certificate I won from Victory Seeds helped this. I am excited to try a dwarf tomato 🍅 variety.

The only thing more tempting than the seed catalogs are the swaps, evidently! I'm sorting and resorting all of the goodies Dave got and wondering how we'll ever get even half of them sown/planted this year. No worries, though- "there's always next year"!

I agree on the respite of winter. I definitely take full advantage of it here, and I've also learned to appreciate the break in the heat of summer as well. It's good to recharge.

Trish it is so refreshing to see your pictures of warm weather and work in the garden. I do have my dining room almost full of seedlings under lights (way too early for us) but I just can't wait!

I have "The Resilient Gardener" and I have been planting her seeds for many years. Now I will have to get her newest book. It looks so good. Thank you so much for reminding me.

We ordered her Sweet Meat squash from Adaptive Seeds this year. I love that company by the way! You should try them.
