Hello,
Can anyone help with the ID of this plant? This cutting has been sitting in a small pot for the last year and though the stem has thickened and some leaves have grown, there was no sign of roots yet it's alive! Thanks.

Looks like a ficus, and likely Ficus Elastica, which is commonly sold as a houseplant.

I agree, it looks like Rubber Plant (Ficus elastica) but it amazes me that a cutting has been in soil for a year and has not produced any roots.

Yes I was amazed when I transplanted it last week. It's nighttime now but I will take a pic tomorrow.

Not rot, it's soil. I took it out of the pot to take a photo.
