I sent an email to this place a few days ago and have not heard back. I also noted that their website has not been updated for 2017 which I think is odd since many people myself included have already ordered daylilies for this year. I am wondering if this place is still in business or if there is a new website? Does anyone know?

They are normally very late updating their list of daylilies. I've always assumed that is due to the northern location of the garden. I have had no luck in making contact with them via emai. I tried several times in past seasons and never got a response. I never tried using a phone call or using snail mail. They have a great listing. Lisa Bourret is - or was when it was ATP - a member here on NGA with the user name of @Bourret and they also have a Facebook page under Rockhaven Daylilies. If you make contact, tell the method. Good luck! Being unsuccessful making contact with them, myself, sure saved me some bucks .

There was someone on Facebook saying they could not contact them.
Oh, well, I guess I won't be getting any of their plants. That is a HUGE turn off for me, a business that cannot communicate timely.
I don't understand how people keep going like that.

Last year I sent them two or three e-mails with multiple e-mail accounts and no reply from them. I also made a comment on facebook but I guess they don't care.

At this point, w the comments about no communication I wouldn't send them money even if they did contact me.
They'd have to send the plants to me first.
I just wanted to order from them because they had 6 or 8 daylilies that were on my wish list and it is always great to get that many at one time-saves so much on shipping and makes things easier.

Their website has "Copyright 2017"at the bottom, not that it means a whole lot. It's just a point of information.

I think they are reputable, but I think the daylily operation is secondary to other activities. They have one I think I really want and I haven't ever found another source for it. I've also found that I've had extraordinary good luck with purchases from the far north. It's true they arrive when it is well and truly hot, hot, hot here, but I've managed that and the daylilies purchased like that have gone on to grow. I keep waiting for the shoe to drop and have them change their mind, but so far those plants have just done really well. Right now I'm sort of maxed out due to the way I grow them and those seeds that insisted on germinating at near 100% which I'm still trying to grow out! I would still order if I could make contact with them.

Just e-mailed Paul who responded saying he was swamped and would be responding to e-mails soon. They are still in business. Maine has been inindated with snow, like 40-50" in 3 days. They are reliable, knowledgeble Day Lily growers. Iknow they appreciate everyone's business!!

I think the lack of response is too bad, but in defense of Rockhaven they are located in West Newfield, Maine. As far as I've ever been able to tell, they only grow field/garden daylilies without a greenhouse. I just checked a weather site for that location. Tuesday they are supposed to have a high of 27F and a low of 6F. Of their 10 day forecast, 8 of the ten days potentially have some kind of frozen precipitation. I know I think Missouri is cool and wet from my perspective, but I sort of think of the Maine/Canada border as part of the frozen north . Therefore I wouldn't expect them to have a good perspective of my climate, and their forecast is NOT spring weather from my perspective. They probably lack the urgency that my 90+F degree weather engenders in my gardening mind. I've ordered from some of their near neighbors, but they couldn't even tell what was there to dig until April. I got the plants - very late for my conditions - and they have performed great despite arriving in close to triple digit temps. Now they are on a Texas time schedule .

Donald, do those plants coming from the frozen north stay alive and actually grow in your garden? I've been to Texas, and it can be BRUTAL!

They've been amazing. A lot of my very best performers last year were sourced from northern growers and some were hybridized there. You're right about the weather being brutal. I had wondered initially if I could plant them as late as they would be arriving. I actually received some shipments when the heat was shutting things down and a lot of my daylily bloom season was over. They managed without a blip. This will be the third season for most of them and they look great at the moment. Lots of increase and lots of growth that looks really healthy.

Frillylily, all I can say is please be patient with northern growers. We've had a horrible March with lots of bitterly cold temperatures and snow/ice. My backyard is still covered in snow and I'm in NYC! Even if they did contact you they wouldn't be able to tell you anything about the daylilies because they are most likely under snow and are definitely NOT growing. At the rate this winter is hanging on up here we might not have good daylily weather until May! I'm very worried about my daylilies because February was quite warm and many started growing. Now with this March weather (we are expecting yet another night in the low 20s tonight) I'm sure to lose lots of EV and SEV daylilies that had been actively growing. You'd be hard pressed to say it's Spring up here.
