Costco has reasonably priced dahlias, hosta, bleeding heart bulbs. No fancy varieties, however.

At Timonium Home and Garden Show, whole lotta home, very little garden. Former White House florist Laura Dowling gave an interesting talk on floral arranging.

Muddy, I think it's a painted sculpture. Look closely for black wire keeping people away. I think the thing is ten feet tall

Muddy, Sally is right. The gourd is a garden folly, part of the Hirshhorn Museum exhibit, "Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors."

Inspired by former White House florist Laura Dowling, I tried my hand at a few artisanal endeavors.
Yeow! Results would not pass muster at Senior Arts and Crafts Show at our neighborhood rec center.

Your usual floral arrangements are beautiful, Lisa....I never saw anything to improve on!

During her lecture, Laura Dowling showed off her eucalyptus vase and it looked quite clever. I'm just a clod with handicrafts.

I looked at some of her creations online...they're interesting, but I think all the stuff she puts on vases detracts from the flowers.
