I can't help but say it feels good to see my work up on the screen.
Thanks for any feedback you have to offer. I'm eager to do a series of climbing roses. Don Juan, will be my red colored selection.

I included a close up of the cat because I didn't like the way they came painted.

Very nice! Are the 3D items made from polymer clay? It looks like you have fun. I have bought the clay and not done a thing with it.

Yes, it is polymer clay. It takes a while to become adept at modeling with it. But, I can see some progress from the 1st to the 7th. I'm planning to do more. So, I'm eager to see how they progress. I looked all over the place to find out the difference between the polymer clays and it became a toss up in the end. Whichever one you have will work. By now, it's probably hard. Don't throw it away, Google how to revive the dry polymer.

I started off by making a knob for my radio. My car is older with knobs vs digital. It was so satisfying as I used my Aussie for my model. Care to see it? You can make something equally satisfying.

Thanks for letting me know I can revive the hard clay. I won't toss it!
I'd love to see the knob you made. Please do show us!

Karen - Here's the radio knob that I had mentioned earlier. I just got tired of doing without. So, I made it myself. I patterned it after my dog. So, pardon me for attaching Santa Fe here, too.

Aw, He's a cutie! Love the knob you made. You have a one of a kind radio now. You're very creative and a good painter. I couldn't have done that.

Karen,
Don't sell yourself short. Absolutely don't throw it away. But, you might want to revive it. Be sure your hands are clean because everything transfers to the clay, then you might use a drop of mineral oil. Work it in, though it might take a while. What color do you have? You had something in mind when you first bought it.

I'm doing Fairy Doors that I hope to sell. The Master Gardener in me has to dedicate a series for climbing roses. You'd be surprised how quickly you can pick it up. These photos don't come across as well as what they look like in person. But, I bet you could come up with something. I'll help you. Tell me the color and what you initially had in mind. Let's work on helping you. OK? Good deal.

Thanks, Crystal. I just went hunting for the clay I bought and couldn't find it. I either got rid of it, or tucked it away too well. Right now I'm too busy to try anything new. I have a King sized quilt barely started and a stained glass window I planned to start tomorrow. I'll make a note to myself, and let you know when I can play with clay with your help. OK? I appreciate the offer.

Karen,
Don't worry about the clay. You've got some bigger projects that will become heirlooms. Go with them. Clay is a good project to keep around when you have a few minutes to work on something that doesn't need a lot of space. I always thought that there was one quilt in me before I died. But, like yourself, I've got too many other irons in the fire, too. I wish you success on both the stained glass and quilt. You go girl!

Thanks, Crystal. I still hope to get to the polymer clay before I die! There are some very easy quilts that can be made in a weekend. Maybe you could try one of those sometime.

Wow, you guys are so nice and encouraging. It makes me want to post some of the other Fairy Doors that I've finished. I hope to sell them this weekend at the Tractor Supply Farmer's Market. Fingers crossed.

Thank you. Are you sure you really want to see more? Cause I've got over a dozen that I can post here. Maybe I should start a new post for them vs here. What would you suggest?

BTW, I didn't make it to the Farmer's Market, but did drive by. Some had tents. I'd be sitting under the hot sun. So, I might have to rethink that one.

In the meantime, I pulled up enough weeds to fill the little trailer and took them to the dump. I don't think anyone else has as many weeds as I have.

Starting your own post for your art would be fine!
I'm betting my weeds would rival yours! They are a never ending problem.
