Hello. Two weeks ago i find one of my spath have abnormal streak on the leaf (pic no 1). It looks like a kind of mosaic virus to me (such as dasheen mosaic virus on taro plant). i discard the plant.

Later i found a nursery who sell spath with similar appearance as exotic variegate spath (pic no 2).

And yesterday i found another one that sell on another nursery (pic no 3).

Anybody recognize it ? Is it just a mineral deficiency ? Or mosaic virus ?

it does look very similar to DsMV. here's some pics of it on taro

the 2nd pic looks very pretty - i have not seen such striped variegation before. Would be interesting to find out if it's a new cultivar.

i meant that the 1st pic looked like a virus, but 2nd and 3rd looked ok to me.
i liked the 2nd pic especially. i don't see any signs of virus on 2 and 3rd pix.

The second and the third looks different to common spath. But for that moment I decided not to buy them. Let see if they come around again later 😁

I strongly agree with the suspicion of DsMV, including the 2nd and 3rd photos. I would not be surprised if a seller thought a disease was a rare coloration. It happens all the time in other aroids, and DsMV manifests very differently from one genus to another.

Agree. I have visited one nursery that sell some variety of spath, and i found that many different variety of spathyphyllum he have show that discoloration. Not only one variety. Seem the virus spread while he cut and split them.

Found this pretty Spathiphyllum at the nursery, I think it's the "Silver Cupido™" variety. Is the discoloration also from a virus? Sorry about the awful picture quality.
