I hope this is not too dumb a question, But when starting seeds and your using the small pots, do you have to cover those with the plastic on top if they are in a green house?

I also have the the black trays that but not the clear covers and cannot locate any locally so I ordered some online, but can you also use those with no cover if you keep them in a green house or does everything need to be covered with some sort of plastic in the beginning?

I always cover mine to keep the top of the planting mix from drying out; if the seeds begin to sprout and then the planting mix dries out, the little plants will likely die. You can just cover them with plastic wrap and remove it once they get started. (I'm also thinking that in a greenhouse in Florida this time of year you will need to guard against "cooking" them.)

Thank you, I did not even think about them drying out. That is very true. Yeah I would think in a green house would burn them up but I just had a freeze that killed everything I had, so disappointing. Thank You for your advice
