I was going through the property today and found these growing wild. I did not plant these but have only lived here for a year and a half.

It looks almost like a turnip. And there is some kind of bug that prefers this plant over any of the nearby weeds.

Welcome! Popo425
Wow. That looks really neat. I`m interested too. It does look eatable. I remember a turnip like veggie that starts with a `k`- kohlrabi- in grand ma`s garden. It`s milder than a regular turnip.
Hope someone tells us what it is soon Thumbs up

I don't think it is kohlrabi. Possibly rutabaga, but looks most like a turnip to me.

Here is one, still in the ground, and with some leaves still on it.

I can't seem to grow anything note worthy when I try and these things are growing wild all over!

Well, if the bugs prefer it over the nearby weeds, then it's obviously something someone previously planted on purpose. Thumbs up

If they only kinda like it, then it's probably a pretty common variety. If they love it, then it's probably very rare and expensive. Whistling

I've read that yellow turnips self sow and I'm sure cabbage moth worms find them delicious: they look like turnips to me.

It reminds me of a jicama, but seeing the leaves, may not be it. It sure looks interesting!
