Hello!
I hope to get a recommendation on what to plant at the entryway to the house my family just bought, as an accent in front of two columns. Unfortunately as of right now the landscaping is underwhelming. I would like to find a evergreen shrub, flowering or with interestingly colored foliage, growing no more than 3-4 ft tall and wide. I would prefer it not to require constant trimming to look appealing. I also love the plants that have a rounded shape to them. I am in zone 9a, in florida (water can be limited in summer), the front of the house is in deep shade till noon-1pm and then it is in full sun afterwards.
I kind of set my mind on azaleas (Encore autumn series), but with Florida afternoon sun exposure I am afraid they will not be very happy. I am very new to this area and do not know what my options are. I did visit a few nurseries but left undecided. Please share your knowledge and help me pick a good option for my situation! Thank you! Oksana
