I love my vintage peonies, but I don't love the brown leaf spots. I do clean and dispose of all foliage in fall, deadhead before petal drop, but have never used a fungicide.
Can you recommend a type, brand that works?
This spring I am trying drug store peroxide [4oz/gallon] root drench for my clematis wilt problem. I'm thinking since my peonies have not broken ground yet, maybe it is time to address the black spot.

I haven't really ever used a fungicide. I don't water foliage and am always careful to clean up old leaves and debris at the end of the season to lessen any chance of pathogens overwintering.

My only damage to the leaves is from hail, at least early in the season. Late season I don't think you can avoid it on some varieties regardless of treatment. I agree with Jerry though--drip lines (or ground watering however you manage it) is the way to go.

I think I'll look into Mancobez fungicide.
Here in Michigan, I don't need to water. My perennial beds have weed mat, and 4" of mulch and very good drainage [amended sandy loam]. We get ample rain during the growing season. And that is probably part of my problem.
