These were in the backyard. They look like Christmas trees but not sure.

You can't have too many viburnums..

Leyland-cypress - X Cupressocyparis leylandii unless it has been renamed. It's a really commonly planted and vigorously growing conifer for the southeastern US.

I agree, it looks like: Leyland Cypress (XCuprocyparis leylandii)
Leyland Cypress (XCuprocyparis leylandii 'Murray')
Leyland Cypress (XCuprocyparis leylandii 'Naylor's Blue')
