I have had Frozen Jade in my garden for at least 15 years. It is a very robust plant and a strong grower. I have it planted in a clump with Mary Todd and Happy Returns. Frozen Jade and Mary Todd are similar in size and blooming time, whereas Happy Returns is a small plant and it blooms a bit earlier. All three are a different yellow, with Frozen Jade having a greenish cast.

In the picture below, only part of Frozen Jade is showing in the front, Mary Todd behind and Happy Returns to the right. Carolyn Chriswell is above in the bed behind.

This is quite a shady spot and these plants still bloom well. We have cut down some trees this year, so this garden should receive more sun.

To sum up, Frozen Jade has been a vigorous grower, tolerant of shade and it provides a long lasting burst of colour to the garden.

This is Frozen Jade's first summer in my garden, and I am very pleased with it. The flowers are a lovely lemon yellow and have good substance.
