I just went down to the garden to take a refresher look at this plant. I thought I would get the scape height and bud count at least. Well, that is going to have to wait for a while. The plant has been blooming maybe a week or so, but the scapes appear to still be growing and the buds are still developing on the scapes. There were some scapes showing branching developing still also. So I am just not able to give much information on the plant right now.
I have noticed a trait in my garden that is not a positive as far as I am concerned, some of the blooms tend to sort of dangle from the scape and face downward. Here is a photo from last year, and the blooms are doing the same thing this year, not the majority of them but enough of them to form a pattern of drooping blooms. One other thing I noticed, bracts are appearing along the scape (a good thing) and there are branches developing with buds. The strange thing is that the scape makes a noticeable angled turn at the bract, causing the scape to actually be shorter than it would be if it stayed straight. Also I noticed that even though there are quite a few scapes with blooms already, there are other scapes not ready to bloom yet, and still younger scapes forming already. So to me it appears this plant is an instant rebloomer in my garden.
I will report more later, but I am glad I went down and looked at the plant because I found it very interesting that it had so much going on that I had not noticed.

Lullaby Baby is as reliable as can be. I don't count scapes or buds but it has plenty of both. It's one of those daylilies that never look weary at the end of the day.

I have had Lullaby Baby in partial shade since I planted it in 2011. I planted 25 fans, and pretty much left them alone. I lost some over the years, yet still have some nice clumps. I dug up a clump this spring and got at least 7 or 8 fans (why didn't I keep count? :doh:)

Lullaby Baby blooms pale pink in my garden and has lovely blooms, small and nicely formed. It opens/stays upright but the scapes sometimes lean. I frequently pick off bee pods and have used it one cross (yeah, I'm really that new to this...)

An old time favorite, among the first that I added to my garden.

A very pale pink, it can appear white in the garden. Vigorous, floriferous, luminous in the garden. I don't think I still have it in the garden (generally am not into smaller flowered ones), so do not remember anything more about growth habit. Thanks to Seedfork for his details.

Lullaby baby always looks near-white in my garden. Maybe ivory, but I've never seen any pink tone on mine. Blooms heavily, very reliable. If you're into white/near white flowers this one is excellent.

Lullaby Baby is a soft pale pink with a little edge in my garden. Very strong and reliable plant. Grows well under stress and shows good rust resistance. I will keep her.

Lullabye Baby was always a reliable bloomer in my garden. Several years ago I moved it to my northern zone 4b garden and it either died or just has not bloomed. It was always a very hardy plant in my 5b garden.

It's hardy here in Zone 4a, I've had it for many years. It's not in a good spot right now though, being overwhelmed by a tree that has grown considerably, so hasn't flowered much for the last while.

Lullaby Baby came to live here last year. One reason I bought it was its rust resistant score. Unfortunately, by the end of the season, rust had definitely shown up, so not rust resistant for me. However, in the growth department, it really came on strong, and I consider it an excellent small flowered daylily. This year it was first in the row of Small Flowered Daylilies to put up scapes and the plant had really grown considerably from its first season to now, the start of its second season. It has at least ten scapes right now. In our garden, it blooms with a pale pink tint most times, and I see that this year the flower is much bigger than last year. If we can just keep the rust at bay somehow, I think this plant is will earn its place here.

This Daylily, which was planted in May of 2021, has really struggled. I'm sure it's the location, in a fairly shaded area, under tall oaks. Last year it produced 4 flowers and ended at 3 fans. This summer there was no bloom and the two fans left were slightly rusty. Hmmm. I love the bloom, just hoping to see more of it. It's definitely an opalescent pinkish white in my yard

I have had Lullaby Baby since 2019, when I bought three large plants from Oakes Daylilies. They all bloomed that first season, and I was charmed by the pale peachy-pink, diamond-dusted blooms (which I have been unable to capture in a photo). They did suffer from root competition where I had planted them, so I moved them to a different bed in the fall of 2020, and since then they have taken off. They have all increased significantly and probably should be divided soon. Lullaby Baby typically blooms in May here.

I am sorry to read that Avedon's Lullaby Baby developed rust. Mine have not shown any rust so far, and here it is endemic. I must have different strains of rust here. I always enjoy Lullaby Baby and will keep it.

2023 update…LB is still at 3 fans, but I had a lot more bloom this year, from July 1-26, I counted at least 18 blooms. I guess it's settling in.
