'The Band Played On' is a evergreen tetraploid introduced in 2006 by Stamile.

It has earned the following AHS awards:
Honorable Mention: 2012

I got The Band Played On September 1, 2016 from Amygarden on the Lily Auction. She sent three huge, healthy fans. I love the saturated colors on this one. I'm sure I will get blooms this spring as the plant is vigorous and has added two more fans.

It has grown well here and was particularly nice last year (when many things were awful). However, like many more recent Stamiles, bud count does not overwhelm.

Had this several years, splotchy, low budcount and doesn't increase quickly., just kinda sits there.
