@extranjera sent me three Guadalupe Fernandez cuttings last year in December. Took them a while to root but the wait was worth it.

Beautiful! The dark pinks and reds seem slow moving, but I agree, definitely worth it! Thumbs up

Thats the first bloom cycle and she didn't open up any further. I have the other cuttings in different locations. Will see if this makes a difference.

I'm so glad they are blooming for you. Don't you love the smell? The colors are gorgeous but it is the smell that really knocks me out.

All of mine are blooming now too although they have less leaves than last year. I think at some point next winter I will need to uproot them and add some compost or something to the pots. They are in huge heavy plastic washtubs but I think the roots have really taken up a lot of space. Since I'm hopefully moving sometime this year I will take one of them with me and put it in the ground and see what I can do for the others.

I'd love some cuttings when you can, did you get that my address is still the same? I can send it to you again if needed.

The color and smell is amazing. I should have some cuttings of the Mexican "Mardi Gras" look a like as well as of the "Lily Warmtoes" look a like this year.
I will be in touch as soon as I get a new phone. Smiling

Here is another pic. This plant gets a lot more shade and the color is a bit more light. The scent is also a lot stronger compared to the one in full sun.

hmmm, if the scent is stronger in partial sun I may have to find a spot like that at the new house. I"m so used to seeing them in full sun in yards here that I hadn't thought about how they would do in partial sun.

It's a bummer but the one I got it's stunning and a keeper. Jack will be in Mexico around June, perhaps he will be able to send me one of his cultivars.

hmmm, now I should go and take another pic of the ones I have because they don't have that much yellow in them. I only have 4 plumeria so I'm pretty sure that what I sent you are the ones I have. Are you sure that the ones blooming are the ones I sent?

Yes, 100%. Still have the blue tape with your writing "Guadalupe Fernandez" on it. Not a big deal because the ones you've sent me are beautiful!!! Mine look like yours when they start blooming but as you can see they fade to a different color.

Looking at the GF from Hetty Ford you can see the difference. The petals have a different shape in my opinion. The flower is more round compared to ours which has a more star shape.

I did try and take a couple of pictures but they didn't come out very well. Taking pics with my phone and now having vision in only one eye has turned into a problem. I will ask my partner to get a couple pics . It's so hot right now that no one wants to be on that roof in the daytime.

Mine started blooming yesterday but I don't have a picture yet.
