I just wanted to let you know about the tool i have created for all Iris Lovers :

I am a hobby gardener located in Europe, so beside Cayeux, there is not much choice for getting new iris for my garden. I was stressed searching for all the iris names, which i have written down someday when i saw them on pinterest or facebook, when it comes to my yearly iris order from overseas.

The site has one single purpose:
Look up a specific TB Iris and farms that have it in stock.

I will add more farms in the future - currently there are more than 7000+ TB Iris from 14 iris farms located in the US.

If you are looking for iris vendors in Europe (other than Cayeux) have a look at the Vendor List thread at the top of the Iris forum thread list.

Did you try Laymont in France? Or Bianco in Italy?

Hope some iris farms will give me permission to use their pictures in the future, currently only iris4u and rockytop did. Would be great to have 7000 pictures in one spot as well...

Jump directly to the iris name by typing the right url in your browser.

Examples:

So try it like that - lets find "Misty Morning Melody":

- 1.) That is your url to start with

- 2.) Append the lowercase first letter of the name

- 3.) Append a "#" sign
www.tbfinder.com/plants/m#

- 4.) Append the lowercase full name, whitespaces replaced by "-"

Great tool and project! Have you considered also having the tool search out irises by specific hybridizers? That would be helpful for me.

Okay, I'm loving this new tool. I found a couple of irises I've been searching for and ordered them.

I still hope you will considering making the "tool" search by hybridizer. Also, hopefully more images will become available. Once more images are available, it would be awesome to fix them where they can be instantly shared on Pinterest, FB, Twitter, etc. That's a good point for gardens to participate. They will get a lot of free publicity and increase sales when irises are shared on social media.

excellent resource!! -- but I wonder if the site owner is still updating it? The pdf file download link still lists the .pdf at 5-22-17

Since its ordering time, I wanted to bring this thread back. Last update was 7-27-17. @irisdude I'm hoping to see an updated for the 2018 year.
