Well, planted the first small bed up next to the house. We are running in the low 40's at night but I can easily drape poly over this bed if need be. Dahlias, at least the larger ones in 2 gallon pots, are in a raised bed with poly cover getting hardened off. Taking no changes with them. Another 30 are out front of the garage snugged up close, just in case. I did a 'head count' yesterday to see how many I can give to ABG in addition to what I have already given and it looks like I only have about 65 plants, with several multiples. Hollyhill Candy Stripe, Ice Berg are the most prolific and sturdy.
I would love to plant out today but it is still early for us. May 31 is our date as it is for a lot of you 'outside'. Seeds planted in cold weather beds are growing, and seedlings were planted out under poly in another bed yesterday. Got another 'rock' project done yesterday. Looks much better. By the pond. Two more rock projects, one a short two foot path and another a bed by the pond falls that needs serious remediation.
