I have been enjoying all the blooms from the Southern and Western gardens. Spring comes a bit later to Pennsylvania. Mother Nature's crazy antics have scrambled the bloom sequence here again this season. There are a mixture of minis and talls beginning to make their appearance.

That is going to be an amazing show Pam!

It sure is! How many irises are planted there Pam?

I have a few smalls in the front garden, but after drooling over all those being posted by Bonnie, Tom, Les and Queen Liz I suppose I will be adding some more this year.

Always the first to bloom is the tiny Rivulet. This one actually sent up a bloom stalk at Christmas time, which froze before it could open.



Next up was Outspoken. This came from the '16 PNW sale.
Love the colors on this one!




Dee's Apricot Berry made a grand show this year!




Bluebeard's Ghost haunted a little corner of the garden. Such a cutie!

Many, many! (But ever enough)

There are slightly under 500 varieties in total scattered around the farm, but this bed contains "patches" of each..... so I couldn't even begin to come up with a total.

Yes! Keppel 2012 It came in a Ghio Suprise Box and broke my 'I only grow Talls Rule'. But then, rules are made to be broken!

A great start to the season! My first TB opened yesterday, got a poor pic of it late with a flash, but will have to try to find time to take a pic today.

I do not feel so alone now, as my season is only just beginning too.

Pam wow!!! What an amazing show that will be, I can't wait to see! I absolutely love your little ones. It's great that we all have slightly different ones. Apricot Berry is so pretty, I must locate that one

Like other areas of the country, the weather here has been strange to say the least. A recent cool and rainy spell has held off the bloom on the Talls. Just a few of them have braved the slightly cooler than normal temps.

One of the first to show was Blatant. This is an older iris, but one that I have been waiting for two years to see.

Honestly that could describe my life in general!




It took awhile, but Tessie the Tease finally opened up!
She is a single bright spot in the far side of the garden.

There is also one lone bloom on a clump of Daughter of Stars.
As usual, it is a huge, beautiful thing.



Waiting impatiently for the rest of them to warm up enough to open.

Remain patient, because it sucks when the show is coming to an end.
