Happy Mother's Day to all! Please post any peonies growing in your garden on this special day. They can be blooms or just pips or whole bush pics of blooming or non blooming peonies as long as the pics are taken today. It would be nice to see the various stages of growths in different zones across the country. Thanks. My 5 best for today:

Your Strawberry Crème Brule bloomed this year, WHOO HOO! Mine hasn't had a single bud yet, another year at least for me...Can't wait to see yours get bigger and better every spring, Karen! Your peonies are putting on a beautiful show this year!

I haven't been outside yet but the only one that is close to opening for me is the double red fernleaf. Hoping when I finish cleaning house and go outside (a visit to the garden is my reward for the much hated task of kitchen/bathroom cleaning) it'll be at least partly open. I leave for a work trip to Ohio Monday and won't be back until Friday so I'll miss the initial bloom opening if it doesn't happen today. I have 4 buds on it this year, finally increasing, so I won't miss out entirely as only 1 is starting to unfurl..

Thank you Liz and LG! Yours are just as gorgeous as well, LG. I have to be off to my mother in law's house. Hope to catch more pics later tonight. Just want to clarify that pics of ANY parts of the peonies above ground are welcome! Pips, foliage, buds, blooms.... I understand that there are parts of the country, Canada, and other parts of the world where peonies are just waking up and/or not blooming yet.

So sad to see the end of your peony season, LG, but I've truly enjoyed all of the pictures!

Yan, your Singing in the Rain is amazing! Don't you absolutely love that plant once it's mature enough to have lots of sidebuds? Some of the flowers (other than peonies) that have different colored flowers at the same time are a bit too much for me but SitR has exactly the right colors to make it gorgeous.

I do like SITR, Liz, but one thing that I don't like is they're smells so bad, the little flies all over the flowers.

Yan, your photos are amazing!! Singing in the Rain is so pretty. Mine only had one bloom this year because of the freeze and I didn't notice any flies. Lol

Liz, I'm counting on you to post plenty of your peonies to keep me from getting depressed over the lack of peony blooms in my garden.

I'm hoping to have tons of flower pics in the upcoming weeks to share, LG! Would hate it if you went into Lack of Peony Depression!

We had another 32F night so things are a little slow but it doesn't seem to bother the peonies much. The taller ones, 8" or better have large buds on them so I am hoping for blooms in the next week or so. I will be gone over Memorial for a few days so it would figure they might bloom them. I guess I should be happy about cooler weather if it makes the peonies last longer.

Thanks all for sharing your photos! So sorry to hear that your peony season is coming to an end, LG. I am currently in mid season so I think I will have 3 more weeks and all will be over for me. We both will be looking forward to seeing pics from Liz, Mary, and Anya. BTW, your peonies are looking like they are ready to take off anytime now, Anya! When the weather warms up, I bet you can't keep up with their growths. Smiling Smiling

LG, your Pillowtalk is gorgeous! I have never seen a pic of it with such a beautiful cupped center like yours here. So pretty!

Yan, your SITR is just amazing! It has so many shades and forms. The last one is my favorite!

Anya, I would love to see a pic from your Julia Rose this year if it blooms. Hope it blooms for you.

Mary, please post pics of your Lemon Chiffon! Would love to see those too.
