My third batch of tempeh was made using spores from the previous batch. This means there is no requirement for purchasing starter spores for future production. The cotton wrapping cloth keeps the humidity at a perfect level to insure though fermentation. Wrapping 100% cotton is from Walmart and they are called flour bags in the dusting section. The open containers are an ideal size and easy to handle, purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond. It is now relatively easy to produce tempeh in an home environment when required. The batch size was 500ml of dried soy beans.
