This pic was taken a couple weeks ago from my car. It's planted along a mile stretch of median, so must be tough! Never saw it before even though I only moved a half zone south from Chicago to Bloomington, Indiana, last year. I like it! What is it?

Well, you snapped that photo while you were doing about 65 miles per hour, right? Whistling Rolling on the floor laughing
At that speed my best guess would be Bridalwreath Spirea (Spiraea prunifolia). Thumbs up

No, silly! I was only going 60!! Rolling on the floor laughing Hmmm . . . I thought Bridalwreath Spirea had more droopy flowers. In fact, I've been calling THIS shrub "my beautiful Bridalwreath Spirea" since we moved here. Now, I'm thinking it's NOT, LOL!!

Sherri - I do think you have bridal wreath spirea. The droopy stems are dreamy when they're blooming. I've coveted one for years instead of those other spirea trimmed into round balls or other geometric shapes.

Rolling on the floor laughing Only 60. Thumbs up Good one! I'm only guessing at the Spirea.

Some varieties of Spirea are more upright. I like the old fashioned kind that cascade - I used to sit under the Bridal Wreath to read books when I was a kid, watch the 'snow' fall all around me.

Bloomington uses Snowmound Spirea (I looked it up) so maybe that's it. ???
If you drive by, or walk by nice and slow and take some detailed photos we could get a better look.
