Hi, all! Can anyone tell me what sort of shrub this is by the flowers and leaves? It is very large - about 10' W X 8' H - and has a light sweet fragrance when you walk by it. Thank you!!

You can't have too many viburnums..

That's a Privet (Ligustrum sp.), which are typically a weedy to invasive species.

Where the flowers are will be where the bluish black fruits will form, be eaten by birds and deposited everywhere, and from whence many more seedlings will emerge.

Thanks, VV! I don't generally worry about tree/shrub seedlings - they just get mowed down. Big Grin
