In my cutting garden I have giant purple allium about to bloom,(I think they were called emperor allium) but nothing to pair them with in a bouquet. What can I plant that will bloom the same time? I love a purple and blue combination. I saw a picture of giant alium growing with quamash aka camas, which is blue, but I don't know about camas bloom time in southern Vermont, where I am. I guess a late blooming tulip would be fine but I am interested in hearing your creative ideas. Thanks.

The plants you have mentioned are all bulbs. Are you looking for other bulb suggestions in particular, or other types of blooms also?

You could look for the entry in the database here for the kind of Allium you have and check if there are any group pics at the bottom, showing the plant in context with other plants, like this one in the basic Allium genus entry:

In your specific location, the timing might not be guaranteed. This is the kind of thing about which a LOT can be learned by looking around your immediate neighborhood & general area to see what is happening. In yards & parks, not stores. Plants at stores are often not blooming at the same time as they would once established in your yard.

From there, asking people how the plants behave in a given climate to see if they would be good team-players in your garden should help elicit some useful info.

@tego Theresa iris pair well with Allium. I have yellow with mine but blue would work too. Early lilies would work too if you could find blue
