Zip Boom Bah has been here starting its fifth year. In its fourth year, it really came on and produced about four sets of bloom. Of course, last year was an amazing year for daylilies, but this year it has put up about 12 scapes already and is doing just fine, even though we have had really strange weather that I think has adversely affected nearly all our DLS--short scapes, blooming out quickly, etc. Zip just shakes it off and keeps on going. The Plant Data Base lists the scapes as 28", but ours has never made that yet, probably more like 22-24", but that's okay with us. We really enjoy this daylily.

Okay, update. I should have checked ZBB before posting. Most of the scapes are at least 26" and a couple might be 28". I don't know why I thought they were shorter, but happy to report I was wrong.

This is a very nice plant. It does well in my climate and increases at a decent rate. A clump can produce lots of scapes. Scapes do not seem to be so tall here, I will have to measure them this summer.

I don't have this DL, however, I got some seeds from @Hemlady. Crossing Phenomenal Phoenix x Zip Boom Bah. Here are some seedlings from that cross.
