It looks like it started out as a false inflo and then pushed a flower out. I have a few seedlings that have false inflo's right now. I hope they do the same as yours.

I learn something new here everyday. I had no idea they could have false inflo's! So do those always cause branching?

Yes, seedlings often 'nub' or produce a false inflo, but the plant does tend to branch after that. This looks like you'll have at least ONE bloom! Thumbs up

Big Grin We are more like roots or low hanging limbs off of the German tree (my side were from Prussia)- but we will take it Smiling Kids and grandkidos are all Texan born and raised
