Your photo of Merchant Marine is so beautiful!
Does it take special care to keep it alive and looking so lovely?
I once tried and failed to grow Sea Power, another gorgeous one, and would love to try growing Merchant Marine if it is not too fussy.

It really was gorgeous. The first rhizome I received rotted so I got this one last year. This is the first year, the first bloom. I'm hoping it's not too precious and will come back. The only advice for this one is to not shake the stalk to get water off the flower. New buds snap right off
