An interesting article here about two different zone maps of the US (by the USDA and NOAA) and the changes they have undergone over time. For the data curious, there is also some interesting evidence of global warming. Not quite sure where is best to talk about this. I'm guessing it's most relevant to the plant database, since hardiness is part of how we describe plants there. Apparently the differences in detail partly have to do with methodology and are most evident in high altitude areas.

Good read. Thanks for sharing! I wasn't even aware that NOAA had a map. Interesting to see the changes in the "time slices" from NOAA. Definitely correlates with what people are thinking and feeling in most parts of the country, especially noticeable in California and Texas--just getting warmer and warmer.
