What kind of desert tree is this? I have a larger pot to transplant it into, what type of soil should I use?

Garden Sages Plant Identifier
Weird place to ask for a succulent ID but... You do realize that Jade plants (that's what it is, Jade Plant) are not carnivorous? Oh good.

Jade Plant (Crassula ovata). Not really a desert plant. Don't put it into a bigger pot until this pot starts tipping over from the weight of the plant - its current pot is more than big enough. Then use cactus and palm soil and find a pot that is wider than it is tall.
