Thread OP

Hi! I'm excited to post a question, been following this forum for advice! Here is our ~16 year old Adenium. (We affectionately started to call "Big Mama" last year after she produced 10 huge seed pods.) My husband got her for me 7 years ago from the Desert Rose lady at St. Pete Saturday morning market in Florida. Today we replanted her. (For the second time in 7 yrs.) Wondering if you all can tell me what type she is? Also, any thoughts on the brown on the edges of the flowers? It's a grafted plant, and strangely enough only the white flowers tend to go brown.I've noticed that a few of the branches have gotten so heavy with flowers that they're bending over. Do you think I ought to prune her more?Forgive me if these are very obvious questions. Still pretty new to me!!

Beautiful tree! I agree

I don't know about the variety or the flower browning, but yes, you can trim back branches if they're too long and slender. I would definitely wait until flowering has stopped on those branches, but that's just because I'm selfish and want to see the blooms as long as I can. If you live in an area with an extended growing season then you can still crop back this year, but it's usually best done in early spring when fresh growth has begun. Once again, beautiful plant Thumbs up Lovey dubby
