Last winter, the deer managed to find a way to get up into the house pad garden and deer-chomp pruned every rose in the garden all winter long. I finally found where they were getting into the garden, but had to make all of the deer fencing in the back higher to keep them out of the garden because they were making blind jumps over the existing fence to get to the roses.
The garden in front of the house, where I'd love to plant your rose, is deer territory. It cannot be fenced.
