Is the flower part of a different plant? The leaves look like those of Boehmeria cylindrical/False Nettle.

The flower is part of same plant. Yeh it does look like that but I don't think False Nettle flowers?

The flower reminds me of Geum canadense.

It also seems possible to me that the blooming plant may be growing up through another plant. Although hard to tell without a side view, the small leaves under the bloom appear to be alternate, whereas the newest leaves in the lower right of the photo appear to be opposite.

I agree, Helmswood's photo looks like White Avens (Geum canadense)




@treetop, I'm not certain and I'm probably way off but something about that plant reminds me of the juvenile form of Poison Ivy (Toxicodendron radicans)
