Deer are a fact of life where I live in northeastern PA, so I plant the most deer resistant plants I can find. I NEVER had a problem with deer eating my peonies until two days ago. Two of my 6 year old peony bushes were eaten down to just bare sticks! Every single leaf was gone. At least I was able to enjoy the flowers when they were in bloom. Will these plants survive? Regrow leaves? I don't know how they will fare during the rest of the summer. Any info would be great!

I have never had a problem with deer eating peonies either. The roots are intact and the stems are green - your peonies will be back.
