Thanks for showing these! I have seeds but wasn't sure exactly what they look like. Since my color scheme for this year is out the window I may sow some now.

Those are pretty! I have not seen these before. Keep us updated if they produce seeds because that would be a bonus!

Many blessings for your continued success!

Marigolds produce seeds. These will also. I have them myself and mine do anyway.

Karen-- These are hybrids which can be sterile or you do not know what you can get. Since I am unfamiliar with these strawberry blondes have you been successful in planting your seeds and getting only flowers that look like the parents? I know most white marigolds were sterile and when I bought Burpee seeds I got plants that never flowered. For successful whites I had to buy as plants at the garden centers. Just wondering if these were the same way.

Many blessings for a wonderful weekend!

Know this thread is older, but am wondering what successes anyone has had with the Strawberry Blonde Marigold. Did they make seeds and if they did, what was the appearance of the next generation? Just purchased Strawberry Blonde Calendula seeds and the colors look similar.

This website says they are open-pollinated, so they should come out like their parents, if that is correct:

(Pricey seeds!)

@jaqjarboe Thank You!
Yes, they are pricey. May wait until the cost comes down.

I am growing these this year, and yeah, they are still expensive! I have had pretty good luck with marigolds coming true from second generation seed; not so much with zinnias, I think they are too "hybridized". We'll see about Strawberry Blond.

Update to finding Strawberry Blonde seeds: I got mine from select seeds, along with many other varieties of seeds. I have been very pleased with all the seeds I have ordered from them: wonderful selection, varieties not offered anywhere else, good germination rates, reasonable prices, fast shipping. They also have a very good selection of live plants: scented leaf geraniums, etc. I have been looking for parma violets for a long time; they have them, but I didn't get an order in in time, they ran out! I will pre-order in December; I want to be sure to get one! Hurray!

New pics of strawberry blond in autumn. A distinct pink tone to the flowers.

I have some new blooms that are a deep burgundy. The colors of this particular cultivar seem to change with the seasons. I will post a pic on Friday. I tip my hat to you.
