I had Karen Sue at one time, and did great for several years. It was dug up by raccoon or something. I replanted, it looked good, but slowly died. I remember it being taller than 20". It grew pretty well, bloomed nicely, such a pretty pink.

I have had this plant for over 11 years now. It is reliable and quite attractive. It cost me $4 (Ogden Station Daylilies), what a bargain:) I have it planted next to my driveway turnaround. In the photo, you can see a load of mulch that was recently delivered.

I had Karen Sue for a number of years (zone 5b). Lovely bi-color blooms, pod fertile. It rebloomed for me one year out of the years that I had it. I don't recall the scape ever hitting 20"; however, I also had it planted in partial shade in a crowded bed.
