Hi I haven't been here in the this forum for 2 months! I hope you don't mind that I am starting a new Hoilday Cactus forum this season? I been working on my collection this summer. New Thanksgiving cacti plants from the UK and Enigma from the Netherlands. It took four months to arrive and had dried out rooting system. I finally got it in a happy place. I thought It would die on me many times! They are hard to grow! The enigma is a slow grower with fragile clades.

Are you saying it went four months in the dark without any water or nutrients? If so, that's a pretty tough plant.

My Easter cactus actually dropped a leaf in a nearby pot and I discovered months (or maybe years) later as a full grown plant growing in a place I never put it. They're crafty like that.

Yes! The enigma was mailed as a cutting. The rooting system all dry. I tried to soak the roots in distilled water. No luck! Until I cut down to the two clades. I put them in black gold seedling soil and prayed. The clades are weird looking the flower is beautiful.
