I started an apple tree from seed - not commercial, rather one that I finished eating, (don't remember if it was Gala, Pink Lady or another variety), and wanted to know if it'll sprout. It has and has grown quite tall. It is in a planter now, but should be moved to a sunny, well irrigated location. My question - will it bear edible fruit? If yes, when?
