This plant is certainly eye-catching when blooming. I've had it for a number of years, and it is still rather small. I've enjoyed a few flowers from it the last two years thanks to aggressive use of Liquid Fence in my front yard against the deer which has worked fabulously. I lost track of it for a few years with the buds being eaten constantly; I'm keeping extensive maps now to keep track of my plants better. I may try moving it to another location to see if it grows larger and has more flowers as it's too beautiful to abandon.
As I recall (not sure I have it anymore), it can produce some nice blooms, but they don't hold up too well in the heat. As with many evergreens here, performance can be mixed from year to year.
