I had a tri-color hibiscus for about 12 years. It recently declined, despite everything I tried, and finally died. I loved this plant. Sorry to say I don't know its name--just tri-color. I got it from someone on ebay who no longer seems to grow them.
I'd love to get another, but I see there are several variegated varieties. I wouldn't mind a green/white variegated (doesn't have to be a tri), but I want it as a house plant, as was my last one. It was happy in my west window, a few hours of sun a day, pebble tray and misting. Stayed inside year round. I don't want a plant that is delicate and will die on me. Online I've seen there are rosa-sinensis, sea hibiscus, Cooper's, etc. and I am confused as to what to get. I need something I can trim to stay about 2.5 to 3 ft. high, like my previous one did.
Can anyone help? Easy growing, can trim/pinch occasionally, variegated and not too delicate are my requirements. THANK YOU!
