In a day something devoured my potato foliage. Are the potatoes safe to eat? Should I did them up now?

Welcome to NGA, @anne12345 .

Is the foliage completely gone?

At any rate, I don't see any reason why your potatoes wouldn't be safe to eat; but if the plants are still sort of growing I would leave them for now and wait for the potatoes to get larger.

give foliage a week or two and if there is no growth I would say its safe to dig the potatoes up so they don't rot
