This is not Bowl of Beauty but what is it? Any ideas?

Does it have a scent? Is it pink? When does it bloom? How high is it? Where did you buy it? It looks similar to Port Royale but it goes as red.

lol Anya. I didn't buy it. I found it in the Red Bed at ABG. Yes, it is a fairly dark pink. Looks a lot like Bowl of Beauty in form. About 36" tall. It bloomed sometime in July toward the end. I just looked up Port Royale. Very similar but PR had finer darker staminoides in the center.

I will look again at the old records (rather poorly kept) at the garden regarding original acquisitions. Thanks

Hard to tell. Hit Parade? Largo? Leslie Peck? I suppose it is not a new variety, and it would be easier to guess if we know what is the source. Very likely they have the same stock.

I'll look around in the old files. I may find something that will give a hint
