A striking bicolor that is worthy of its HM. Blooms are held just above foliage. One of Selman's better ones for bud count and better than many of his for branching. Often blooms in multiples. Good increase. Branching acceptable, as flowers tend to be spaced with multiples, even though it is a bit top branched. In 2016, bloomed beneath foliage, as did many that year; but flowers were just above foliage in 2017. Always attracts attention.

Wonderful plant. Will throw a polytepal bloom every now and then. Does well in Zone 5. Visitors always comment on it.

Great plant, multiplies fast, which is a good thing. Everyone who sees it wants a start. Lots of blooms that always look good, the foliage always seems to look good, tall green & sturdy. I like a plant with nice leaves & sturdy scapes, especially when it comes with such great flowers. Probably my favorite daylily.
